Motorcyclist killed in road mishap in Pieksämäki

One person was killed in a road accident on Partaharjuntie road in Pieksämäki on Sunday afternoon, police said in a press release.
The accident took place at about 6:00 pm when a motorcycle skidded off the road and collided with a roadside tree.
Driver of the motorcycle was killed on the spot in the accident.
The Police, however, did not divulge details about the deceased. The reason behind the accident could not be known at the initial stage of the investigation.
The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident. area.
