Motorcyclist killed in road mishap in Ristijärvi

A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident at Ristijärvi in Kainuu region on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The accident took place at about 3:00 pm when a motorcycle skidded off the road near Sotkamontie crossing and collided with a roadside tree.

Driver of the motorcycle was killed on the spot in the accident.

The Police, however, did not divulge detail about the deceased and the reason behind the accident.

The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
