Pilot killed in ultra light aircraft crash in Jyväskylä

An ultra light aircraft crashed at Tikkakoski Airport area in Jyväskylä late Sunday night killing the pilot, police said in a press release on Monday.
Only the deceased, an experienced former military pilot and air traffic controller was onboard the single-seater civilian aircraft during the accident took place at about 8:30 pm at the area, about 20 kilometres north of the Jyväskylä city centre, local newspaper reported.
The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately.
The Safety Investigation Authority of Finland (Otkes) and police are investigating into the accident to find out detail in this regard.
Police did not find any crime link to the accident at the preliminary stage of the investigation.
