Haavisto updates Blinken on Finland´s White Paper process

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday exchanged views with during the NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs meeting in Brussels and expressed their concern over Russia´s attack on Ukraine.
“Once more a good exchange with @SecBlinken. We share a grave concern over Russia's illegal aggression and human rights violations in Ukraine,” Haavisto wrote in his twitter after the meeting.
“I also offered an update on Finnish government's White Paper process, which will focus on changes in our security environment,” he added.
Haavisto also exchanged views with UK foreign secretary Liz Truss on European and regional security and also shared updates on the Finnish government's White Paper process.
"Due to the changed security situation in Europe, it's important to have a dialogue not only with #NATO but also with partnership countries. Today's meeting is an excellent opportunity for that," Haavisto wrote in another twitter post.
Earlier on Wednesday, Haavisto participated in a close trilateral dialogue on international security with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde.
They shared a grave concern over human rights violations in Bucha, Ukraine and demanded that these crimes must be investigated.
Haavisto attended the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs held in Brussels on Wednesday and Thursday.
The meeting focused on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, NATO’s Strategic Concept and the international security situation.
