EC President due in Helsinki today

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will visit Helsinki on Thursday, said an official press release.
She will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sanna Marin and will discuss topical EU issues, including the security situation in Europe.
During her visit, von der Leyen will also meet with President Sauli Niinistö, the press release added.
Earlier on October 4, 2021 she visited Helsinki in connection with publishing the Commission´s assessment of Finland’s Recovery and Resilience Plan and presenting a proposal for the Council of the European Union’s decision on the plan.
