The National Emergency Supply Agency-NESA (Huoltovarmuuskeskus-HVK) placed an order for six million kits for testing coronavirus at home for the school children, said NESA in a press release on Thursday.

The NESA took the move as per the directive issued jointly by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment on Wednesday.

The total cost for the purchase including logistics will not be more than 10 million euros and the delivery of the kits will start within next three weeks.

“The kits will not be available everywhere at the same time and the first delivery to the municipalities is expected by about three weeks,” said Administrative Director of NESA Rain Mutka.
