1 stabbed to death in Helsinki, 2 held

One person was stabbed to death allegedly by a group of miscreants at Konala in Helsinki late Saturday night, said police in a press release on Sunday.

The incident is told to have been taken place at about 8:20 pm at Riihipellontie when the miscreants attacked the victim with sharp weapons. The victim died on the spot.

Responding to an emergency call police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the deceased.

Police arrested two persons in connection with the incident.

After the preliminary investigation, police suspected that the murder was taken place as a sequel to drug trading.

Police, however, did not divulge the identity of the deceased and detail of the incident at the initial stage of the investigation.

“The incident is being investigated as a murder and an attempted robbery. Police arrested two people in connection with the incident. According to police, the homicide was related to drug sales,” said Investigating Officer Marko Forss.

The police are investigating into the incident to find out detail about the murder and the suspects.
