Suspect held for killing woman in Oulu

Police arrested a man and placed him on remand on Wednesday for his suspected involvement in the murder of a woman in Oulu last month.

The Oulu District Court granted the remand in custody for further interrogation in this regard.

Police said that the 26-year-old man was arrested as there were possible reasons for his suspected involvement in the murder of a 43-year-old woman took place in a private apartment building in Oulu on 30 December in 2021.

The suspect and the victim knew each other, said police.

The investigation into the murder is going on and the deadline for the prosecution is in May.
