Pedestrian killed in Pyhäjärvi road mishap

A pedestrian was crushed under the wheels of a full trailer combination on Kiuruvedentie road in Pyhäjärvi on Sunday.

Police said that the accident took place at about noon when a woman was trying to cross the road and the full trailer combination was passing through at the same time.

Although the driver tried to stop the trailer, it knocked down the woman and crushed her under the wheels.

Responding to a call, the rescue services people and police rushed to the spot and found the woman dead.

The Police did not divulge detail about the deceased.

The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident.
