3 killed in road mishaps in Kuopio, Hyvinkää

Three people were killed and four others injured in two separate road accidents in Kuopio and Hyvinkää on Saturday.

The Police said that an accident took place when a private car with two people onboard fell down from a bridge on Petäjälammentie at Nilsiä in Kuopio and drowned into the water on Saturday evening.

Responding to a call the Police and the rescue service people rushed to the spot and found both the people dead.

The Police, however, did not divulge detail about the deceased.

The Eastern Finland Police and the Accident Investigation Board are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Meanwhile, in another accident, a private car with five youths onboard turned turtle on Kaltevantie in Hyvinkää on Saturday afternoon at about 4:00 pm.

One person of 19 years was killed and four others were injured-one of them critically- in the accident.

The Police and the Accident Investigation Board are investigating into the accident and after the preliminary investigation, the members of the law enforcing agency did not find involvement of any other person in the accident.
