1 killed, 4 injured in road mishap at Aura

One person was killed, and three others were injured in a road mishap in Aura on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said that the accident took place at about 4:10 pm when two private cars and a truck collided on the road number 9.

The first private car coming from Turku road was turning left to Riihikoskentie at that time but another speeding car coming from behind did not notice it and knocked down the first car.

At certain stage the car with four people onboard skidded off the road and felt into the nearby opposite lane. A truck coming from the opposite direction at that time hit the car resulting damage of the car seriously.

One person was killed and injured three others-one of them critically in the car in the accident.

Another person of the second car was also injured.

The injured were taken to hospital immediately.

The Police did not divulge detail about the deceased and the injured people.

The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Vehicular movement on the road was disrupted for one and a half hours due to the accident, said police.
