The government on Thursday decided to reinstate inbound travel restrictions on Kosovo, North Macedonia following the increasing trend of coronavirus infections in these countries, said a government press release.
The Government adopted the decision with a few changes to the earlier restrictions on the entry at external borders adopted on 5 August based on current incidence rates.
The reinstated restrictions will come into force from 16 August.
However, people may still enter Finland from all countries upon presenting an approved certificate of a full vaccine course.
If a person arriving from Kosovo or North Macedonia has not received a full vaccine course, the accepted reasons for entry are return travel to Finland, return travel to other EU or Schengen countries, transit on regular, scheduled flights at an airport or other essential travel.
