2 gunned down in Kemijärvi, woman killed in Rantasalmi

Two people were killed in Kemijärvi of Lapland on Saturday while a woman was crushed under the wheels of a tractor trailer at Rantasalmi in South Savo region on Monday, said police in separate press releases on Tuesday.

Responding to a call at 12:00 noon on Saturday the police rushed to a spot at Kemijärvi and found two people dead there.

Police said they received information about firing two rounds of gunshots at the area. Members of the law enforcing agency reached the scene and recovered the bodies of two adults from there.

The Police did not divulge anything more about the incident or the identities of the deceased.

The police are investigating into the incident.

After the initial investigation, police said that no other person is suspected to be involved in the murders.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a woman was killed after she was crushed under the wheel of a tractor trailer near her home in Rantasalmi on Monday afternoon.

The incident took place when the 50-year old woman and her husband were cleaning the yard of their house.

The husband was driving the tractor trailer and at certain stage the woman went behind the rear wheel of the trailer for some reason.

The Police suspected the man of endangering traffic safety and guilty of death.

The police are investigating into the matter to know detail about the death.
