400 pigs burnt to death in Alavus fire

About 400 pigs were burnt to death and huge properties were damaged when a fire broke out in a pig farmhouse at Sapsalampi area in Alavus on Wednesday morning.
Police said that the fire took place at about 10:00 am at the big farmhouse and damaged animals and assets, but no human casualty was reported.
Responding to a call, several units of the rescue services rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
The origin of the fire, however, could not be known and the Police are investigating into the incident to find out detail in this regard.
