1 burnt to death in Kaarina house fire

One person was burnexd to death in a fire that broke out in an apartment of a terraced house in the Tuuliviirinkatu area of Kaarina on Saturday morning.
The police, after initial investigation, suspected that the deceased, a man of 70s, himself set fire to the apartment with some unknown intention and became the victim of his own scheme.
The Southwestern Finland police, along with rescue workers rushed to the spot, in response to an alarm at about 4:30 am and found the apartment was set on fire from the inside.
They evacuated the residents of the eight other apartments of the building and firefighters edoused the blaze quickly.
Rescue workers and police rushed ionto the gutted apartment and found the resident dead.
No other people was hurt in the incident, said the police.
The police, however, did not divulge any more detail of the case at this initial stage of enquiry. They are investigating the incident.
