Finland condemns North Korea for launching missile

Finland on Friday condemned the missile launching by North Korea terming it as a threat to international peace and security.
The President and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy at a meeting discussed the situation in North Korea and expressed concern in this regard, said an official press release.
“Finland is extremely concerned about the tensions on the Korean Peninsula and more widely in the region,” said the press release, adding that Finland has condemned North Korea’s missile launches which constitute a threat to international peace and security.
Finland supported the sanctions imposed by the UN Security Council and their thorough implementation.
The Committee also received an update regarding the threat of international terrorism in Finland in the light of the events that took place in Turku on 18 August 2017.
