1 killed in truck-car collision at Suonenjoki

One person was killed in a road accident at Suonenjoki in Savonia region on Monday afternoon, the police said.

The accident took place when a Kuopio-bound truck coming from Jyväskylä collided head on with a private car coming from the opposite direction.

The driver of the private car died on the spot.

The weather and visibility on the road were normal at the time of accident.

The police are investigating into the accident to find out the reason behind the accident.

Transport communication was disrupted on the road for several hours due to the accident.
