Perussuomalaiset´s popularity goes up, SDP slides

The popularity of the main opposition Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) has increased during the recent period and the party has became top on the popularity list, beating the long-term most popular SuomenSosialidemokraattinenPuolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP), according to a survey of the national broadcaster Yle.
The poll said the support for Perussuomalaiset increased by 1.4 per cent to 20.9 from the previous month while the support for ruling SDP decreased by 0.6 percent to 20.6.
The support for another opposition party, the Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party-NCP) slid by 0.7 per cent to 15.9, followed by ruling partners SuomenKeskusta (Centre Party of Finland) sliding 0.3 per cent to 12.1% decrease and Vihreä Liitto (Green League) by 0.8 per cent increase to 11.6 per cent.
Two other components of the ruling coalition – Vasemmistoliitto (Left Alliance) and Suomenruotsalainenkansanpuolue (Swedish People’s Party of Finland-RKP) secured the sixth and the seventh places on the popularity list with 7.2 per cent and 4.4 per cent supports respectively, while the opposition Suomen Kristillisdemokraati (Christian Democratic Party) secured the eighth place with 3.0 per cent support.
The support for Vasemmistoliitto reduced by 0.5 per cent and for Suomenruotsalainenkansanpuolue increased by 0.1 per cent.
The support for Suomen Kristillisdemokraati also reduced by 0.1 per cent from the previous month’s poll results.
The survey was conducted by interviewing 2,707 people from 9 November to 1 December and the margin of error was +/- 1.9 percentage points, reported the national broadcaster Yle.
