The central railway station in Helsinki was evacuated Wednesday morning due to a fire, local media reported.
No casualty was reported. Heavy smoke filled the building, and the fire was said to take place in a hamburger shop only.
Passengers were ushered out of the large complex that includes several halls and underground tunnels.
However, trains continued arriving and departing as platforms can be accessed directly from the streets.
Newspaper Helsingin Sanomat reported that after ventilation the station could reopen at around 1 p.m. local time.
The station building was designed by architect Eliel Saarinen in the early years of the 20th century.
