Prime Minister Antti Rinne on Friday met with relatives of the Finnish women and children living in the al-Hol refugee camp in Syria, said an official press release.

The Premier was joined by the Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto, Interior Minister Maria Ohisalo and Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services Krista Kiuru.

"I heard from the relatives of those in al-Hol camp describe their conditions. I told them that the Finnish state has been working hard to find a solution to the situation," said Rinne in the statement.

The meeting was part of a ministerial inquiry on the situation. Clarifying the situation of the children was of particular concern to the ministers.
