2 dead after plane collision in Germany

The two victims, both of them stunt pilots according to initial findings, collided with their respective aircraft in the air near the Leumnitz airfield on Saturday evening, a fire brigade spokesperson said in the evening, reported Xinhua.
The planes crashed mid-air, according to the statement, causing no further fatalities or injured. Police, fire fighters and paramedics were deployed to the accident site with a large contingent, according to the Gera police department.
"The exact circumstances of the accident are the subject of the immediately initiated criminal investigation," a police statement said.
According to its website, aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 5.7 tons are allowed to take off and land at Gera-Leumnitz airfield. It is an airfield for both commercial air traffic and air sports.
