The first joint application of the spring to universities and universities of applied sciences (Polytechnic Institutes) begins on Wednesday, said the Finnish National Agency For Education in a press release.

The application period has begun at 8:00 am and end on January 18 at 3:00pm.

The application form can be filled out at Studyinfo.fi. No registration or login is required to apply.

The joint application to higher education in the spring is divided into two separate joint applications.

In the upcoming first joint application of the spring, one can apply to study programmes taught in English, as well as study programmes provided by the University of the Arts.

The application period for the second joint application will run from March 15 to March 30 this year.

In the second joint application of the spring, one can apply to higher education study programmes taught in Finnish or Swedish.

The application to all these programmes happens in the Studyinfo portal on Studyinfo.fi. The portal is maintained by the Finnish National Agency for Education. No registration or login is required to apply.

There are 369 study programmes available in the first joint application, 165 of which are University of Applied Science study programmes and 204 are provided by universities.

In total, there are circa 7 400 study places available in the first joint application – 1 000 more than last year.

Applicants can apply to a maximum of six (6) study programmes in every joint application.

In the first joint application, there is no need to prioritize the order of the selected study programmes when applying.

Each applicant can be accepted to all study programmes for which they are eligible and successful enough.

However, each applicant can only accept one offer of admission for studies starting in the same semester.

The first results from the joint application will be published in early February. All results will be published 2 June at the latest.
