Wage, salary increase by 3.4% in Finland in Q2

The index of wage and salary earnings, which measures the growth in the nominal earnings of full-time wage and salary earners, rose by 3.4 per cent in April to June 2026 when compared with the corresponding period in the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.
Over the same period, the real earnings level of wage and salary earners rose by 1.6 per cent because the rise in the earnings level was faster than the rise in consumer prices.

The annual rise in the earnings level was highest in the second quarter of 2026 in wellbeing services county administration, 4.8 per cent.
In the sector budget economy of central government the annual rise in the index of negotiated wages and salaries was lowest according to preliminary data, 2.4 per cent.
According to preliminary data, the monthly earnings of full-time wage and salary earners were EUR 4,300 per month, on average, in April to June 2026.
