Number of bankruptcies rises in Finland in June

A total of 332 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in Finland June 2026, which is 27 bankruptcies more than in the corresponding period one year before, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 1,586, which is 94 staff-years more than in June 2025.

The 12-month moving annual change in instigated bankruptcy proceedings was 7 per cent in June 2026.

A total of 32 enterprises in manufacturing, 53 in trade and 59 in construction filed for bankruptcy in June this year.
