Manufactured goods see slight price fall in 2025

Producer prices for manufactured products fell by an average of 0.4 per cent in 2025 compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.

The prices of manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 0.1 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went down by 1.0 per cent.

The decrease in the producer prices for manufactured products was particularly caused by the decrease in the prices of refined petroleum products and electricity compared to 2024.

The fall in prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of food products and precious metals from a year ago.

The export price index fell by 1.0 per cent and the import price index by 2.0 per cent compared to 2024.

The basic price index for domestic supply went down by 1.2 per cent and the basic price index for domestic supply including taxes fell by 0.4 per cent compared to 2024.
