Foodora likely to close operation in Finland

Food delivery service company Foodora is considering whether it would continue operation in Finland or not, local media reported, quoting the company source.

The company started codetermination talks with the employees, which is also considering the possibility of completely withdrawal of its operation from the country, said the company in a press release on Monday.

Foodora authority is re-assessing the strategy in the region and examining whether continuation in Finnish market would commercially be viable to earn its broader goals in Europe.

Foodora, which started operation in Finland in 2015, now is delivering food in more than 100 municipalities.

Founded in Germany, the company also operates in Sweden, Norway, Austria, Czech Republic, and Hungary.
