Manufactured goods see slight price hike in Nov

Producer prices for manufactured products rose by an average of 0.2 per cent in November this year compared to the price in November 2024, according to Statistics Finland.
The producer prices of manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 1.6 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went down by 1.1 per cent.
Producer prices went up by an average of 0.2 per cent from a year ago.
The rise in the producer prices was particularly caused by higher prices of electricity and food products compared with last year's November.
The increase in prices was curbed especially by the decrease in prices of paper and paper products and basic iron and steel and ferro-alloys from a year ago.
The export price index went down by 1.1 per cent in a year. The fall in export prices was especially due to lower prices of paper and paper products and other chemical products compared with last year’s November.
The fall in export prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of basic precious and other non-ferrous metals and other inorganic basic chemicals.
The import price index went down by 2.7 per cent in a year. The decrease in import prices was, in turn, especially caused by lower prices of crude petroleum and refined petroleum products.

The basic price index for domestic supply fell by 1.2 per cent and the basic price index for domestic supply including taxes went down by 1.1 per cent from a year ago.
From October to November, producer prices for manufactured products went up by 0.3 per cent.
The increase in producer prices was particularly caused by the higher prices of refined petroleum products and chemicals and chemical products compared with the previous month. The rise in prices was curbed especially by the decrease in prices of preserved meat and meat products compared with the previous month.
