Foreign companies employ 334,330 staff in Finland last year

Foreign enterprises located in Finland employed 334,330 persons in 2024, according to Statistics Finland.

Enterprises from Sweden, the United States, Germany, Jersey and Denmark employed the highest number of personnel.

Manufacturing was the most significant industry measured both by the number of personnel and turnover.

There were 5,685 foreign enterprises in Finland.

The significance of foreign enterprises in Finland is bigger than their actual number and their turnover accounted for close on one-quarter of the turnover of enterprises operating in Finland in 2024.

Swedish enterprises in Finland were most significant measured by turnover and number of personnel.
