Elisa cuts 357 jobs globally, 347 in Finland

Finnish telecommunications company Elisa decided to terminate 347 employees, including 347 in Finland as a part of its austerity measures, said the company in a press release on Thursday.

The company completed the codetermination talks in this regard following the decision taken in October.

The company decided to take the austerity measures aiming to save about EUR 40 million annually and majority of the staff reduction is estimated to begin from the first quarter of 2026.

The measures also included reductions of outsourced services and procurement efficiency improvements.

The related negotiations in Finland, and similar processes in other operating countries also completed according to local practices.
