Inflation remains unchanged at 0.5% in September

The year-on-year change in consumer prices was 0.5 per cent in September 2025, according to Statistics Finland.
In August, inflation stood also at 0.5 per cent. The month-on-month change of consumer prices was 0.3 per cent.
In September, consumer prices were raised most year-on-year by electricity, general hospital fee and cigarettes.
The rise in consumer prices from one year ago was curbed most by average interest rate on housing loans, interests on consumer credit and real estate.
The core inflation of the Consumer Price Index was minus 0.0 per cent.
The calculation of the core inflation takes into account all consumer goods and services, excluding food and energy, which include more short-term price fluctuations than the other commodities.
