Non-residential building renovation costs €3.9b last year

About 3.9 billion euros was spent on renovating non-residential buildings in Finland in 2024, according to Statistics Finland.

Compared to the previous year, the value of non-residential building renovations increased by 9.6 per cent.

Of types of buildings, the value of renovations of commercial and office buildings grew most, by 22.3 per cent.

The renovations of commercial and office buildings, as well as service buildings, were estimated with the help of granted renovation and expansion permits.

The value of renovations of non-residential buildings made an upturn after four years of decline.
