Price of old house drops in Finland in August

The prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 1.9 per cent year-on-year in the whole country in August 2025, according to Statistics Finland.
Compared with the previous month, prices decreased by 0.3 per cent.
Among large towns, prices rose year-on-year in Vantaa (0.5%) and in Helsinki (0.4%).
Prices declined most in Tampere (3.9%) and in Turku (3.8%).
Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 1.3 per cent in the six largest towns and by 2.9 per cent in outside large towns in August 2025 compared with one year ago.
In Greater Helsinki, prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 0.4 per cent from one year ago but went up by 1.1 per cent from the previous month.
In the whole country, prices of dwellings in blocks of flats decreased by 1.6 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 2.4 per cent compared with one year ago.
In August, 3 per cent less sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
