More bankruptcies filed in June in Finland

A total of 252 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in June 2024, which is 13 more than in the corresponding period one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 1,015, which is 70 staff-years fewer than in June 2023.
In June, the 12-month moving annual change in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy was 17 per cent.
About one-half of bankruptcy petitions were filed in service industries and one-fifth in trade in June.
