New car registration drops by 12% in Feb

A total of 5,373 new passenger cars were registered in Finland February 2024, which was 12 per cent fewer than one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

The total number of all kind of new vehicles registered in February was 9,236 and the number was 10 per cent lower than the number in the corresponding month of the previous year.

In the first two months of the year, a total of 11,964 new passenger cars were registered in, which was 10 per cent fewer than one year earlier.

Out of the first-time registered passenger cars in February, 25 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 1,330, or 28 per cent fewer than one year earlier.

Used imported passenger cars numbered 3,070, which was 31 per cent more than one year earlier.
