More people file debt restructuring pleas in 2022

A total of 4,355 debt restructuring petitions of private persons were filed with district courts in 2022, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of petitions was 540 or 14.2 % higher than in the previous year.

The number of female petitioners was higher than male petitioners in 2022.

A total of 47.5 per cent of debt restructuring petitions were filed by men while 52.5 per cent by women in the last year.
