Train service disruption continues on Saturday

Disruption in train services continued on Saturday, although the national railway operator VR Group fixed the problems on some routes.

Train services – both local and long distance – were disrupted seriously on Friday due to a technical glitch caused by an electrical fault.

The VR in its traffic bulletin issued late Saturday night said the Helsinki-Kolari train (PYO 269) was delayed by 45 minutes due to a technical fault.

The VR, however, said in the evening that normal services have resumed between Helsinki and Tikkurila.

The traffic control system malfunction between Helsinki and Tikkurila has been fixed and no more delays are expected, said the VR.
