The government will not grant new arms export licences to Turkey or other countries engaged in war.

The President and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy on Friday discussed Turkey’s military operation in Syria and urged Turkey to cease the military action, said an official press release.

The meeting considered that there is no military solution to the Syrian conflict.

The humanitarian situation in the region causes concern.

Additionally, the committee discussed the preparations for a new Government Report on Finnish Foreign and Security Policy, the press release added.
