Two young men were killed on Friday afternoon in an Israeli drone strike while they were riding a motorcycle in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, according to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA), said Xinhua.

Ambulance teams transported the bodies to a local hospital, and firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out on the motorcycle, NNA said.

Separately, Israeli forces carried out explosions between the southern towns of Baraachit and Beit Yahoun, and in the town of Mansouri, and shelled the southern town of Bani Hayyan with artillery, according to the agency.

No additional casualties were immediately reported, it added.

The strikes came despite the conclusion of the seventh round of Lebanese-Israeli negotiations in Rome in August, which focused on strengthening security arrangements along the border and working toward implementation of the Lebanese-Israeli framework agreement signed in late June.
