Man gunned down in northwest Sydney

A man has been killed in a public place shooting in the northwest suburbs of Sydney on Wednesday morning, reported Xinhua.

A police statement said that emergency services were called to reports of the shooting in Carlingford, 18 km northwest of central Sydney, shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a man in his 30s inside a vehicle with significant injuries. He was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Police established a crime scene and have urged members of the public to avoid the area.
