Israeli military activities continued across southern Lebanon on Wednesday, with drone strikes, artillery shelling, explosions, and other military operations reported in several areas, according to Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA), said Xinhua.

Late Wednesday afternoon, an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike targeting a parked vehicle in the Deir neighborhood of the southern town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa. Less than 30 minutes later, the drone launched a second strike on the town.

The NNA said volunteers from local relief organizations came under Israeli gunfire on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa while heading to extinguish a fire that broke out in the vehicle struck by the guided missile. No injuries were reported.

Earlier in the afternoon, an Israeli drone dropped three stun grenades over the southern town of Yater, while another drone dropped a stun grenade over Nabatieh al-Fawqa.

On Wednesday night, Israeli forces carried out a large explosion in the vicinity of the southern town of Rshaf in the Bint Jbeil district. The NNA also reported another explosion in the nearby town of Beit Yahoun.

Israeli artillery later shelled the outskirts of Beit Yahoun while simultaneously sweeping the outskirts of the town's eastern neighborhood toward the nearby town of Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district, the NNA said.

Separately, Lebanon's Public Health Ministry said the cumulative death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has reached 4,297, while the number of wounded stood at 12,196.

The latest incidents occurred despite the framework agreement recently reached between Lebanon and Israel aimed at ending hostilities along the border.
