The 22nd Tunisia Investment Forum opened on Thursday in the Tunisian capital Tunis, bringing together around 1,200 participants from more than 30 countries, reported Xinhua, quoting the Tunis Afrique Presse.
Under the theme "Tunisia: Renewed Dynamics, New Opportunities," the two-day event is organized by the Tunisian Foreign Investment Promotion Agency in partnership with the African Development Bank.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tunisian Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri highlighted the country's economic performance.
Tunisia's economy grew by 2.6 percent in 2025, up from 1.4 percent in 2024, she said, noting that foreign direct investment increased by more than 30 percent in 2025 compared with the previous year.
According to the prime minister, the number of foreign companies operating in Tunisia has risen to 4,296, with total investments amounting to 53 billion Tunisian dinars (about 18 billion U.S. dollars).
She highlighted that Tunisia's foreign investment portfolio is increasingly focused on high-value industrial sectors, especially mechanical and electronics industries, including automotive manufacturing, aeronautical components, pharmaceuticals, and technical textiles, alongside growing interest in renewable energy projects.
This year's Tunisia Investment Forum features high-level seminars and panel discussions focusing on investment prospects and efforts to improve the business climate.
