2 Malaysian soldiers killed by grenade during training

Two soldiers were killed during grenade-throwing training at a military base in Malaysia's Kedah state, the country's military said on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.
The incident happened at 10.57 a.m. local time. The victims sustained severe injuries and were pronounced dead while being transported to a nearby hospital, the Malaysian Army said in a statement.
"The incident occurred while they were undergoing combat enhancement training under the 2nd Infantry Division of the Army," it said.
The Army Chief, General Azhan Md Othman, has ordered a full and immediate investigation to determine the cause of the incident. Meanwhile, all aspects of training safety will be continuously reviewed and improved based on the findings of the investigation, it said.
