At least six Palestinians, including two women, were killed and 15 others wounded on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike on a camp for displaced people west of Gaza City, according to Palestinian sources, reported Xinhua.
Palestinian security sources reported that Israeli drones fired two missiles at a tent inside the camp.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, told Xinhua that some of the wounded are in serious condition.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army on the airstrike.
Israel has recently intensified its airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, targeting residential homes, tents sheltering displaced people, and Palestinian gatherings.
Earlier on Saturday, Gaza-based health authorities reported in their daily update that hospitals in the enclave received five bodies and treated 49 wounded over the past 48 hours.
It said that 951 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since a ceasefire in Gaza took effect in October 2025, bringing the total death toll since Oct. 7, 2023, to 72,961.
Meanwhile, nine people were injured Saturday in an attack by Israeli settlers in the town of Huwara, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, according to Palestinian sources.
Local sources and eyewitnesses told Xinhua that dozens of settlers attacked the Huwara municipality building and directly assaulted its staff. They also surrounded a number of people inside a livestock pen.
The settlers also smashed the windows of several vehicles and stole a car, a bicycle, and about 35 sheep, sparking clashes with local residents, the sources said.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its teams treated nine people wounded in the attack, including one struck by a rubber-coated metal bullet, five affected by tear gas, and three severely beaten.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces said Saturday in a statement that after "a report of the suspected theft of livestock belonging to Israeli civilians," a number of rioters gathered in the area, triggering "violent confrontations" between Israeli civilians and Palestinians.
"The (Israeli) soldiers operated to disperse the gatherings using riot dispersal means," it said. "The disturbances were dispersed, and security forces remain in the area to prevent further public disorder."
The town of Huwara, home to approximately 8,000 people, is a frequent scene of clashes between Palestinians and Israelis.
Also on Saturday, Mu'ayyad Sha'ban, head of the Commission Against the Wall and Settlements in the Palestine Liberation Organization, said in a press statement that Israeli forces and settlers carried out 1,659 attacks in the West Bank during May.
