Damage has been confirmed to Iran's Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.

The United Nations nuclear watchdog said on social media that it has confirmed some "recent damage" to the entrance buildings of the underground Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant, based on the satellite imagery.

According to the IAEA, there is no radiological consequence expected and no additional impact detected at the plant.

On Saturday morning, joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with some of the leader's family members, senior military commanders and civilians. Iran responded through several waves of missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. bases across the Middle East.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday the military campaign against Iran has "capability to go far longer" than four to five weeks.

Also on Monday, Iran's official news agency IRNA quoted the country's Atomic Energy Organization chief Mohammad Eslami as saying in a letter to IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi that the United States and Israel conducted two airstrikes on the Natanz nuclear facility on Sunday, calling them a violation of international law.

On June 22, 2025, U.S. forces struck Iran's nuclear sites at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. The Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant "was severely damaged", according to the IAEA.
