Airlines across India faced brief operational disruptions on Thursday morning following an outage of Navitaire, a system used by airlines for bookings and check-ins, reported Xinhua, quoting multiple local media reports.
The 45-minute technical glitch hit flight operations at several airports, including Delhi and Mumbai, thus affecting hundreds of passengers.
Reports said multiple carriers, including IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express, were affected.
According to a local television news channel India Today, at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, the fault surfaced around 6:45 a.m. (local time) and was sorted by 7:30 a.m (local time).
"During the disruption, airlines were forced to manage passenger details manually, triggering long queues during the early morning rush," the report said, adding that a similar situation unfolded at Mumbai's international airport.
