At least 14 people were killed in landslides in central-western Colombia on Wednesday, according to local authorities.

Another 20 people were missing in the landslides that destroyed several homes in a neighborhood of Manizales city, the authorities said.

The incident happened less than three weeks after flooding and mudslides provoked by heavy downpours hit the southern Colombian town of Mocoa, killing more than 300 people.

President Juan Manuel Santos is expected to visit the disaster zone later Wednesday.
