Four Palestinians were killed on Wednesday by Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip, according to the Civil Defense in the coastal enclave, reported Xinhua.

Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense, told Xinhua that two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli airstrike near the Beit Lahia square in the northern Gaza Strip.

Earlier in the day, a Palestinian was killed and another wounded in an Israeli strike near Al-Farabi School in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, Basal said.

Another person was killed in a separate strike around noon targeting a gathering east of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, Gaza-based health authorities said in a press statement that 10 bodies were brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours, including eight recovered from under rubble and two who were killed on Tuesday.

According to the health authorities, 347 people have been killed and 889 injured with varying degrees of wounds since the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel came into effect on Oct. 10.

The overall death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 69,785, with 170,965 others injured since Oct. 7, 2023, the authorities added.

In a separate statement, health authorities reported receiving 15 Palestinian bodies from Israel on Wednesday, transferred through the International Committee of the Red Cross, which brings the total number of returned bodies to 345.

It noted that medical teams and relevant authorities have so far identified 99 of the 345 bodies, adding that work is ongoing in line with established procedures to complete examination, documentation, and eventual handover to families.
