10 soldiers killed by terrorists in western Niger: media

About 10 soldiers were killed and seven others injured on Sunday in a terrorist attack in the Dogondoutchi department of the Dosso region, the national radio station La Voix du Sahel reported on Wednesday, said Xinhua.

"The terrorists have been neutralized, and accomplices have been arrested," it said.

According to local media, Bana Alhassane, the governor of the region, has visited Dogondoutchi, expressing condolences to the families of the victims.

Niger continues to face security threats from terrorist organizations along parts of its borders.
