Levante beat Oviedo 4-2 at home on Saturday to keep its La Liga survival hopes alive that could prove pivotal in the relegation battle, reported Xinhua.
Young striker Carlos Espi struck twice in the opening 24 minutes to make it six goals in four games, but Ilyas Chaira and Federico Vinas hauled Oviedo level with two goals in four frantic minutes at the end of the first half. Iker Losada restored Levante's lead in the 54th minute, and Ivan Romero sealed the win deep into stoppage time after a defensive error.
In another key relegation clash, Mallorca forward Vedat Muriqi sent an injury-time penalty over the bar as Elche won 2-1 at home to climb out of the bottom three, sending Mallorca back into the relegation zone.
Elche hadn't won in 2026 and things looked bleak when Pablo Torre put Mallorca ahead in the 57th minute. Rafa Mir quickly equalized after some calamitous defending from Mallorca, and Tete Morente ended Elche's 12-game winless run with a powerful header.
Valencia won 2-0 away to Sevilla to move away from the relegation zone with goals from Hugo Duro and Largie Ramazani in the last seven minutes of the first half. The result leaves Sevilla just three points above Mallorca.
Osasuna took a 1-0 victory at home to Girona thanks to a header from top-scorer Ante Budimir 10 minutes from time, finishing off a Kike Barja cross.
Getafe has a chance of qualifying for Europe next season after a 2-1 triumph away to Espanyol, whose winless run now stretches to 12 games. Domingos Duarte and Mauro Arambarri scored for Getafe in first half injury time, before Roberto Fernandez pulled a goal back for Espanyol midway through the second half.
