President, First Lady to join Winter Olympics opening ceremony

President Alexander Stubb, accompanied by First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb, will attend the opening ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan on February 6, said the President Office in a press release on Monday.

They will attend a reception hosted by President of Italy Sergio Mattarella at Palazzo Reale, the Royal Palace of Milan, as well as the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics at the San Siro Olympic Stadium.

The Olympic Winter Games 2026 will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, from February 6 to 22.

A delegation of 102 Finnish athletes will participate in the upcoming 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics scheduled to be held in Italy.
